We are excited to announce that we are launching a beautifully redesigned website at nlgsf.org. Our website redesign is brought to us by Joseph Lublink of Lu Design Studios. Please check it out! On our website, you can find resources related to COVID-19, check out our upcoming events, view and download free Know Your Rights materials for distribution, and so much more. We invite you to learn more About Us, where you can read about our history under our About Us page, our role as the legal arm of the movement, our staff, board members, and supporters. At the heart of the NLG-SFBA is What We Do, which is expanding and growing in new, exciting ways. This is reflected in our website design: a wealth of information can be found about our work, including our programs, our committees, our partner-led initiatives, and our political and legal education offerings. We also have a newly organized landing page for Activist Support that features all the resources that we offer, including hotlines, support for demonstrations and protests in the Bay Area, and support for arrestees connected to Bay Area demonstrations. This feature has been designed so that activists and organizers on the ground can quickly access hotlines and resources with ease. A new exciting feature about the website is the membership dashboard, where all NLG-SFBA members can find resources specific to our chapter and the role they play within the NLG. The membership dashboard was created with our membership in mind, as we seek to expand our membership and connect new and existing members to our ongoing work. We anticipate launching this feature in May (please stay tuned for more details). Our April NLG-SFBA membership meeting will be replaced by the launch of our three-part CLE series on the Roots Causes of Forced Migration on Tuesday, May 4th (see flyer below). We hope to see many of you at this incredible panel, featuring Pierre Labossiere of Haiti Action Committee, Azadeh Shahshahani of Project South, Dévora González of SOA Watch, and Rhonda Ramiro of BAYAN-USA. This first panel, which focuses on Neoliberalism, Imperialism, and Militarization, will be followed by webinars on Climate Change, Food Production, & Environmental Disaster and Gender-Based Violence & Justice. —The NLG-SF Bay Area Team |
